Product Engineer R&D (f/m/d)

Full-time, as soon as possible

Your tasks:

  • Product development from ideation, design, technical implementation to industrialization of our wearable neurostimulation technology, according to all relevant medical engineering guidelines
  • Safe hands-on skills for the whole industrialization-process to ensure close collaboration with partners and suppliers (technologies, processes, costs, logistics, etc.)
  • Establish and ensure a safe coordination of the industrialization process and technology transfer from and to contract manufacturers
  • Product support in the context of maintenance over the entire life cycle, to ensure product improvement, optimization, innovation and documentation quality
  • Coordinate with external developers, project managers, engineering teams and quality assurance personnel during development, testing and external production
  • Preparation of test and validation specifications to ensure product functionality
  • Independent elaboration of hardware and embedded software
  • Development and realization of operational prototypes, right up to serial production to verify compliance with design plans, test- & performance requirements and validation
  • Executing internal workflows like BOM, production documents, or product version changes
  • Supporting failure mode and root cause analysis addressing quality issues and customer complaints
  • Implementation of the technical documentation for our product portfolio according to relevant guidelines in close collaboration with the quality and regulatory team

Your qualifications:

  • Degree (HTL/FH/TU) in electrical/electronic engineering, embedded systems, biomedical engineering, or similar engineering disciplines
  • At least 5 years of experience in engineering including industrialization in the medical device industry
  • Expertise in building medical devices integrating hardware and software from pre-launch to maturity, complying with all regulations according to the Medical Device Directive (93/42/EWG) and the Medical Device Regulation (EU) 2017/745
  • Experience or knowledge in deviations and CAPAs management
  • Experienced in production technologies, methods, materials and selection of suppliers
  • Willingness to negotiate costs reduction, technical improvements and payment handling
  • Business fluent in German and English (speaking/writing)
  • Solution-oriented, real hands-on skills for practical implementation of a complex system
  • Open minded personality willing to take responsibility in a multidisciplinary environment
  • Enthusiastic and inquiring team player
